It's truly at a great level of scifi as it is. This is sort of fitting into that 'magic realism', only we'll call it 'scifi realism'. But yeah, don't start throwing in aliens and the like. I sometimes think on this and wonder if it will turn into a twisted Alice in Wonderland. Now if I could only figure out where to go to have rss, atom, or xml feeds automatically checked and messages sent to my email so I can more easily check back on blogs :S. Lol. I'm not sure if you intended it to be, but this is an 'almost' Scifi. It's set in a technological point that isn't really that far distant from our own (and possibly is likely considering all the advances recently, though doubtful has any tried it) and you do a very decent job describing her world. And then her imaginary friends! That was the part that most interested me. It's not as if she were just talking to imaginary people like all kids do, it's practically more than that since she is in this bubble and has no access to real people (except the maid, and I suppose her mother, but that is yet to be seen).
